You can set aside up to $5,000 per year for dependent care expenses with your Careflex account. This money can be used for dependent care for:

• Children under the age of 13 (or over the age of 13 if the child is mentally or physically unable to care for him or herself), and for

• Elderly persons qualifying as dependents for tax purposes
