Resources

New Employee Orientation

New employees have the option of completing the Online Orientation or attending a new employee orientation session (conducted weekly by HRM). Employees may also use the Online Orientation to learn more about employment at MSU, in addition to attending an Orientation session.

Human Resources Management encourages prospective employees to use online orientation to explore the services and benefits available through employment at Mississippi State University. This will help in evaluating the total compensation package offered by MSU.

Online orientation does not require a login or password. Feel free to visit this resource at any time.

HRM staff will track new employees to either schedule them for an orientation session, or verify that they have completed the online orientation.

New Employee Orientation includes:

  • Introduction to Mississippi State University

  • Overview of employee services, benefits, and key policies

  • Overview of services offered by Information Technology Services, including Telecommunications

  • Procedure for obtaining parking decals, ID badges

  • Appointment with benefits counselor for completion of benefits paperwork

Date: Weekly. Please allow three hours for this session, plus a follow-up appointment with a benefits counselor.

Location: Department of Human Resources Management, 150 McArthur Hall.
